PRACTICE ROOM (GUITAR LESSONS)

I need to work on learning by ear and also I need to start playing with other players.

CLASSROOM (THEORY & ANALYSIS)

Pneuma – Tool structure analysis

  • based off of 4 main simple riffs that are later used to create higher tension and more chaotic riffs
  • Starting guitar solo is used to build tension into the main riff
  • Polyrhythms are a common use in Tool songs(polyrhythm is when two or more different time signatures)
  • The lyrics are based upon the spiritual being of a person
  • Pneuma refers to the creative or spiritual life force of a person

I thought that scraping an idea after a week is counterproductive if your just wasting good ideas. But the concept is smart to keep attention on the subject.
